On September 17, 2015 The Los Angeles Times posted an article, Mexico says the remains of the second 43 missing students have been identified.  Nearly a year ago, 43 students went missing in Iguala. Months after they were taken, body fragments of these students were being found all over Mexico. Unfortunately federal police have stated that they believe these 43 students were victims of a  gang related war that has been ongoing in Mexico for years. Taking into consideration that these students were possibly mistaken as members of a rival gang named Los Rojos, this incident is still under investigation. Although Mexican officials stated that they do not plan on letting this unfortunate event go unrecognized. The families of these students still have hope that perhaps there is a chance their child will return home, being that only a handful of the 43 have been found.
